Thiamphenicol 100 mg
For the treatment of:
- Gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections caused by Thiamphenicol sensitive microorganisms such as Actinobaccillus spp, Pasteurella spp, Salmonella spp, Streptococcus spp and E. coli.
DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration through the drinking water. Shake well before use.
Dosage: 100 ml per 100 litres of drinking water, during 3 consecutive days.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours. This product therefore needs to be changed daily. Absorption of water from other sources during treatment should be avoided. This product should not be used in automatic drinkers (proportioner) if water hardness is higher than 275 ppm.
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity or resistance to the active ingredient.
Decrease in water and feed consumption may occur.
Meat: 7 days.
Eggs: 5 days.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
For oral use only. Severely ill individuals tend to drink less and may need simultaneous treatment, preferably by parenteral medications.
Clean the drinking pots thoroughly in order to prevent re-infection and sediment. Avoid placing drinking water in the sunlight.
Thiamphenicol may induce irritation. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
Keep in a dry, dark place in a well-closed container, between 2-25°C. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
