COMPOSITION

Tilmicosin 250 mg
TARGET ANIMALS
Chickens and turkeys.
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of:
Respiratory infections caused by Tilmicosin susceptible microorganisms, such as Mycoplasma gallisepticum (CRD), Mycoplasma synoviae (arthritis/synovitis), Mycoplasma meleagridis (in turkeys), Clostridim perfringens (necrotic enteritis), Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus.
DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration through the drinking water. Shake well before use.
Chickens: 30 ml per 100 litres of drinking water, during 3-5 consecutive days. Or 6-8 ml per 100 kg bodyweight.
Turkeys: 30 ml per 100 litres of drinking water, during 3-5 consecutive days. Or 4-11 ml per 100 kg bodyweight.
If necessary, it is recommended to extend treatment to 10-21 days. Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours. This product therefore needs to be changed daily. Absorption of water from other sources during treatment should be avoided.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity or resistance to the active ingredients.
Do not administer to poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
ADVERSE REACTION
Decrease in water and feed consumption may occur.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Chicken: 12 days.
Turkeys: 19 days.
Eggs: Not permitted for use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Clean the drinking pots thoroughly in order to prevent re-infection and sediment. Avoid placing drinking water in the sunlight.
Estimate correctly the animal weight in order to avoid the under, and overdoses.
For oral use only. Severely ill individuals tend to drink less and may need simultaneous treatment, preferably by parental medications.
Tilmicosin may induce irritation. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Keep in a dry, dark place in a well-closed container, between 2-25°C. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
WASTE DISPOSAL ADVICE
Dispose of waste material in a way approved by the competent authorities.
